Pantone and HP a commitment to deliver the highest level of color fidelity

x-rite Pantone

When it comes to color accuracy and specification, Pantone, Inc. sets the standard for the printing industry. Pantone and HP have worked together to offer unprecedented levels of fidelity to the PANTONE Color standard when reproduced on the Pantone-licensed HP color output devices.  This is accomplished through the development of expertly tuned color look-up tables (LUTs) by the color specialists at Pantone and also through the HP PANTONE Professional Color Emulation technology.Pantone has worked closely with HP to develop Look-up tables for all PANTONE MATCHING SYSTEM and PANTONE Goe colors on a given printer–ink–media combination. Given Pantone’s color matching expertise, the result is of very high quality.  However a Look-up Table is tuned for a specific media on a given printer. When PANTONE colors need to be emulated on one of the many other media that can be used with a given HP printer, it is necessary to have an alternative method.  This solution is the HP Professional PANTONE Emulation automatically computes simulations that have been optimized for a specific printer and provides the flexibility to adapt PANTONE color reproduction to a wide variety of media.
